Job Summary
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing individualized rehabilitation programs to restore mobility, improve physical function, reduce pain, and enhance patient independence following illness, injury, surgery, or other medical conditions. The role involves providing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical and functional assessments to identify patient rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on clinical assessment and patient goals.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, mobility training, and other appropriate physiotherapy interventions.
- Treat patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, and functional mobility conditions.
- Assist patients with improving strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, and functional independence.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans according to clinical response.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, injury prevention, and home-based rehabilitation programs.
- Provide guidance on the safe use of mobility aids and rehabilitation equipment when required.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation of assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and patient progress.
- Participate in rehabilitation quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practice.
- Follow patient safety, infection prevention, and professional standards of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy / Physical Therapy.
- Current professional license or registration to practice as a Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist.
- Eligibility for professional licensure in the country of employment.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Experience in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation.
- Hospital, rehabilitation center, or multidisciplinary clinical experience preferred.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy / Physical Therapy.
Required Certification(s)
- Current professional license or registration as a Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist.
Preferred Certification(s)
- Additional certification or training in Neurological Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Manual Therapy, or Sports Rehabilitation.
