
Abstract
In children, validated tools to monitor anaesthetic depth are lacking.1 In routine practice, dosing of volatile agents relies on surrogate markers such as minimum alveolar concentration and autonomic responses. In noncardiac surgery, sevoflurane administration is typically guided by its end tidal concentration (FeSevo), which closely reflects cerebral partial pressure and therefore serves as a surrogate for anaesthetic depth.
