Objective
The one-week course is opened to radiologists, cardiologists, medical radiology technicians, and nurses who are already or intend to practice cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) in their clinical activity.
It also aimed at all clinicians who used the CMR as a key instrument in order to manage their own patients (cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, sports physicians,
pediatricians, rheumatologists, hematologists, internal physicians, general practitioners).
Furthermore, it is opened to bioengineers and bioinformatics who already or intend to closely work in a CMR Lab.
Setting
The Institute of Radiology is an international Academic Center, in the Excellence Department of Medicine within one of the oldest Universities in the world,
performing more than 700 CMR exams per year covering any field of CMR applications (from pediatric to old population, basal and stress).
The dedicated cardiovascular team lives in a multidisciplinary clinical and bioengineering environments. The team is led by Prof. A. Pepe, a radiologist and
cardiologist, fully dedicated to the clinical, research and training issues in cardiovascular imaging since 2000.
