Video 1: This apical 4 chamber view shows a dilated LV with abnormal trabeculation at the apex. Note the diminished EF as well as smoke in the LV.
Video 2: Parasternal views near the base show the beginnings of noncompacted myocardium along the inferior and lateral wall.
Video 3: Closer to the apex the noncompacted myocardium is more evident with trabeculations seen in the anterolateral wall and inferior wall. The ratio of noncompacted to compacted myocardium here is roughly 2:1.
Video 4: Color Doppler shows evidence of color flow within the small crypts in the inferior and lateral walls.
Video 5: This parasternal long axis view already shows some abnormalities at the apex.
Video 6: Numerous LV small crypts along non compacted myocardium. Note the EF in this case is not as diminished as in the prior case.
Video 7: Color Doppler in this 5 chamber view shows the flow inferior the numerous small crypts.
